Club Board
Goran Sabol
1st Chairman
Born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1971, my early chess development was strongly influenced by the Yugoslav and Russian schools. After a 25-year hiatus from active play in the 90s, I returned to the amateur ranks. Back in Zagreb, Croatia, I became a board member of a local chess club. In 2016, I moved to Kulmbach, Germany, and joined Schachklub 1907 Kulmbach. I was honored to take on the role of 1. Vorsitzender in 2025.
Mathias Dierl
2nd Chairman
I got my first board from my godfather as I was around 8 years old and since then I was faszinated by the black an white squares. I entered the team of my hometown a few years later and became youth-associate and secretary for my team. After I finished university and got my first exployment time was limited and I forgot about the game of the kings. But for some years now my love is re-enlighted and I really appreciate it to be a active member of my team and I am honored with my new role as deputy CEO.

Tena Sabol
Secretary
Born in 2007 in Zagreb, Croatia. I started playing chess in 2018. A big inspiration for that was my father who taught me to play the royal game. As an amateur, I always try my best at tournaments, while keeping in mind that the most important aspects for me are having fun and meeting new people.
